My Son Matt by Ken Cook

Hello, My name is Ken Cook, I wanted to share a story with you all. My son Matt has been riding his own bike since he was 17. He started off on a Yamaha 535 Verago and quickly started saving for a Harley Sportster. He found a 2000 1200s which he quickly began to make his own by removing chrome, painting it flat black, hand painting his own pin striping, graphics and ghost flames. Continue reading

Mary Ellen McKay – Why I Ride

Ok, so technically I’m a passenger, but the thrill is still the same. I love the feel of the bike, the open road, the wind in my face, and the beautiful scenery that mesmerizes me. I have always loved motor-cycles. I almost got one for my high school graduation, but my mom talked my dad out of it. So instead I had to share a car with my brother. But the interest never left. Fast forward to 2005 of my previous life. I was an excited half owner of a Road King Classic and join IVHOG. It was a little intimidating standing in a room of “Bikers”, but soon came to realize I was among an awesome group of people. The rides were fun, and the people were even more fun. I met some really special people that I am proud to call friends. Continue reading

2103 PA State H.O.G. Rally

Home is where the heart is and the heart of Pennsylvania is in the Pocono Mountains! This is one rally you won't want to miss! There is definitely more to explore in the Pocono Mountains! We are planning some great rides throughout this breathtaking region. And by popular demand we are bringing back 1 Wheel Revolution, that awesome motorcycle stunt riding group some were lucky enough to catch last year and others saw in different venues. These guys are amazing! We will have evening get-togethers every night with music and dancing. And there will be a lighted bike show so get those boogies lights you always wanted to get, polish up that chrome and make 'er shine! There will be lots of surprises and prizes over the 3-day event. Some things of interest in the area are Camelbeach/Camelback, Pocono Raceway, two casinos, Martin Guitar Factory, factory outlet stores, and numerous restaurants & shops catering to the skiing public in the winter and the adventurous public in the summer. So if you want to be guaranteed all this fun, you should pre-register as well as book your room at The Chateau Resort & Conference Center so you don't miss out! Continue reading

Americade June 4th – 8th 2013

Americade has become the world's largest multi-brand motorcycle touring rally. Local estimates indicate it attracts 50,000-100,000 annually. It's a convention of tourers, sport-tourers and cruising motorcycles enjoying a week-long festival of motorcycling, including guided tours in the beautiful Adirondack Park, and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Americade also includes two massive trade shows with nearly 250 vendors, demos and displays from most major motorcycle manufacturers, catered boat cruises, exclusive rodeos, stunt shows, laser shows, comedy clubs and much, much more. To participate, most attendees register for a full-week wristband, giving them access to the trade shows, the demos and displays, Americade’s headquarters where many events take place and much more. Americade is a gathering of friendly, fun-loving folks, for whom motorcycling is a social hobby, but not some form of rebellion. It's NOT the place for shows of speed, hostile attitudes, or illegally loud motorcycles. Americade supports the AMA position that "Loud Pipes Risk Rights". Continue reading
