Harley-Davidson hits the ice at X Games Aspen

Harley-Davidson continues to beat the drum for its new line of Street motorcycles, due to hit the street sometime in the next couple of months. The latest stunt involves bringing some of the 500cc and 750cc urban growlers to the upcoming ESPN X-Games. Kicking off today in Aspen, Colo., will be a series of ice races, featuring Streets outfitted with studded tires, chasing each other around a frozen oval. Continue reading

John Youells – Why I Ride

It all started at a young age - when I was 4 or 5 years old. We lived in Lansdale on 3rd Street and had a 2 story barn out back. In the barn my father and a few of his friends would gather with their motorcycles; one friend kept a ‘61 Corvette in there. They were your typical motor heads - all bikers. The hot bikes back then were the 305’s… Yamahas and Hondas. The guy with the ‘Vette had a 650 triumph. He would put me on the tank of his Triumph and we’d ride around town in Lansdale. I would hold on to the handlebars and occasionally he would let me steer. My dad did the same thing with his Honda. Those rides left a lasting life time impression on me. Continue reading

Women Who Ride are Happier

Freud asked, "What does woman want?" Harley-Davidson has the answer. She wants a motorcycle -- or should. That is the result of a study of female motorcycle riders and non-riders, commissioned by the Wisconsin-based bike manufacturer. Female riders were twice as likely as their non-riding counterparts to feel "confident." They were twice as likely, too, to feel "extremely satisfied" with their appearance. Continue reading
