Final IVHOG Advanced Rider Safety Course

This Sunday 6/18/2017, is the final IVHOG Advanced RIderCourse session. The first session was sold out with 12 participants who rode, 13 in all. The second session had 4 riders, 5 attendees, leaving 8 slots open. The third session – Father’s Day - has 4 registered, there are currently 8 slots open. While I’m glad that people had the opportunity to attend unfortunately 17 or the 36 people who  originally signed up either had to cancel or simply never returned contact. As some of you are aware the ARC classes are very difficult to get into, especially for groups of any size. It is unusual for 1 class to be dedicated to an organization, to have 3 dedicated is unheard of. If we do this in the future it will likely be limited to a single class, first come, first served – if there is any interest.  Continue reading

20th Anniversay Day With A Vet on June 11, 2017

Rolling Thunder Chapter 1 PA is having their 20th Annual "Day with a Vet" ride from Lowes in Oaks and picnic at the destination - Coatesville VA. I was wondering if it is possible to post something about it on the site. Nice event, great cause and after 20yrs of continuous effort something nice to commemorate. Hope to see some IVHOG members there, As an RT1PA member I'll be working sweep/parking for the event. Continue reading

IVHOG Advanced RiderCourse (ARC) Info & Signup!

I’m giving preference to the IVHOG members who signed up at the meetings for IVHOG ARC registrations. There were around 34 people who said they were interested, given the response – and a lot of leg work - I was able to secure 3 full classes (unheard of) for IVHOG. I have a few email out to the members on the list, so far about half have selected a class, with 36 slots open for the 3 days I have about 60% of the spots open. Continue reading

George Park – Why I Ride

I’ve been riding, like many, for a long time. When I started riding I may not have really given it much thought - I didn’t do it to be ‘cool’ (I’m still not) but because it was exciting, fun and fast. Thinking about it a little more now that I’m a bit older it comes down to, basically, Coexistence, Challenge & Community. I’ve been riding, like many, for a long time.
