IVHOG Chapter Meeting Notes – Dec-2025
December 7, 2025
Chapter Meeting
Director:
Moment of silence for Pearl Harbor.
No new members in attendance.
Election month. Judy Macy was nominated and accepted. She will be the new Secretary for 2026. The rest of the offices are remaining in their current positions for another year.
Wednesday night, December 3rd was VIP at Freedom Valley. Good turnout by IVHOG. Thank you to all who came out. Dealership sent out invite to all members, but for some reason not everyone received it. We sent it out again and hope everyone received it.
11/15 – Freedom Valley hosted the 5th Annual Santa Run Toy Drive to benefit Grandview Hospital Pediatrics. A decent turnout by the club. Thank you to those who made it out.
11/22 – Lansdale Mardi Gras parade – thank you to everyone that participated. It was a good time again.
11/23 – Customer Appreciation Day at Freedom Valley.
12/7 – Toy Run KSU 11:00 AM leaving from the Kellersville club. I had no information about this until this morning.
Tommy Giles was supposed to come to the meeting today and speak – did not show up.
Working on planning winter type events –
- Chili Cook Off (working with West Chester to try to have winners from each location compete against each other). Still waiting to hear back from Sandy.
- Pool Tournament – Ron Hawkin has agreed to run it. Since only a few members are interested in playing, we will open it to IVHOG members and friends. Will advise date and time. Will need a head count in advance. Freedom Valley gift card to winner.
Brandywine HD closed yesterday. Will be combining with Media in new building opening early 2026.
Assistant Director:
- On Saturday, December 13th, ABATE will be delivering all the coats collected. Asking for motorcycle presence. If interested, let me know and I will give you the details.
Treasurer:
- Separate report on available funds; income and use.
Head Road Captain:
- New Year’s Day ride (weather permitting). Blue Comets will be participating with us.
Safety Officer:
- Already intersections are full of salt and the streets have been brined two or three times already so if you ride in this weather, make sure you wash it all off.
- Recap – spoke earlier in the year about the M8 engines and about how they don’t really do well with the cold…needs to be hot for over ½ hour, it not, it creates acidic moisture in the oil and creates an oatmeal kind of bath in your oil.
- Reminder to stay hydrated.
Membership:
- 159 members (148 listed on national HOG site)
- Beginning in January, rules will be followed more tightly. If your membership lapses, you will need to sign a waiver to go on the rides.
- Today starts membership drive – see me to renew.
Merchandise:
- Stocked up on sweatshirts (hooded, non-hooded and zip ups) and long sleeve shirts.
Webmaster:
- Talk about the Meet Up app – has worked out well and have had a lot of participation. It was set up as a public group so anyone can see events, members, etc. and they can join. Problem is that some people joining are not members of our group or even have bikes. I recently went through knocked people off that are not part of our club. Going forward, we are going to request for an approval to join the group. There will be questions as well. Another option is to take the group private, but then people who may be interested cannot see our events. Also, once you go private, you cannot go back to public.
LOH:
- January – possible Chili Cook Off
- 2/28 – Bingo at Sellersville Moose, will put up on Meet Up
- After dark bingo, will put up on Meet Up
- Still working on axe throwing and bowling
Photographer:
- Was at the VIP night at the dealership taking photos. Gave pictures to Brian. Will put some up on our Facebook page that have of our club members.
