First Sunday Ephrata PA 9-2015

The Ephrata rally is held on the first Sunday of each month, between March and November. Sponsored by the Ephrata American Legion Post, the rally is held at the American Legion Post/Ephrata Community Park in Ephrata, PA. Riders from as far away as West Virginia come to meet, chat, compare bikes, have coffee and enjoy the buffet breakfast. Everyone is welcome and the Ephrata rally always has a wide variety of bikes on display. Bikes generally begin arriving around 8:00 AM and the rally winds down about noon. It is held rain or shine! Motorcyclist Fatalities Projected to Drop for 2nd Straight Year Preliminary data show a decrease, but fatality rates continue to outpace those of other motor vehicles WASHINGTON, D.C. – As hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists gather in Washington D.C. for the annual Rolling Thunder “Ride for Freedom” this Memorial Day Weekend, the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) is projecting that motorcyclist fatalities decreased for the second straight year in 2014, based on preliminary state data. However, this latest Spotlight on Highway Safetyreport also notes that there is much more work to do: motorcyclist fatalities are 26 percent higher than a decade ago, while other motor vehicle fatalities are 28 percent lower.
