Safety Officer:
- Peter presented Dave with the trophy for winning the Chili Cook Off contest months ago.
- Going slow and in the heat something to think about road/asphalt weeping.
- Last two rides as a club, there were no issues riding, but it can change when you ride around others that we are not used to riding with, be aware.
- Realized that on many cars the back end are not lit up. Back lights on the newer cars do not come on until the actual headlights come on – this is something to be aware of.
- Reminders from past safety officers: Important to make sure to hydrate during rides. Keeps arms and other body parts covered as well. Be careful when passing truck stop for puddles of gas on the road.
- Pete said as a reminder – our chapter rule is no drinking during a HOG ride for both rider and passenger. This is strictly for safety. If you are drinking during a ride, your ride is over.
Membership:
- 126 active members
- Reminder if you buy a new/used bike to let us know – free one-year club membership.
