IVHOG Chapter Meeting Notes – Aug-2025

Chapter Meeting

Director:

Reminder that elections are coming up.  If there is a position you are interested in, let me know, and you can shadow the officer in that role now.  I will be stepping down at the end of the year.

A few weeks back was the BACA Christmas in July event, which raised about $3,500 (not sure of exact amount).

There have been some complaints from the dealer that not many of us are attending their events.  Events are not posted on their website, so you an’t expect members to attend with short notice.

8/15 – Blue Comets Annual Car Show

8/16 – Freedom Valley Music and Motorcycles

8/23 – BACA Bucks County Bike Show

8/30 – Freedom Valley Labor Day Cook Out

9/6 – Blue Comets Lansdale Bike Night

9/18 – Blue Comets Bike Night

Assistant Director:

9/20 is the Fifth Annual Veterans Event at the Perkasie Owls – looking for donations.  Take this up at the Officers’ Meeting and possibly make a donation from the chapter.

State rep from Berks County is introducing bill to change bill to take away our rights to wear/not wear our helmets.

Next year thinking about doing a charity event with the Red Hill VFW…thinking about sometime in June.  We want to start planning it out unless someone has a better idea for a charity.

Head Road Captain:

• Gary leading ride today to Buck Hill Brewery
• 8/10 – I’m doing ride to Heisler Dairy Farm
• 8/16 – Reading Phillies event…must have ticket before
• 8/29 – Gettysburg weekend 

Treasurer:

• Separate report on available funds; income and use.
• Director: to address the funds we have in the account since we are not doing a holiday party this year, possibly make a donation to something worthwhile.  If anyone has any ideas, please let us know.

Safety Officer:

• New laws are not always enforced.  Still seeing people driving while talking on the phone.
• Remember you have entire land to use when riding.

Membership:

• 127 active members
• Reminder if you buy a new/used bike to let us know – free one-year club membership.

Merchandise:

• Pretty good selection of t-shirts.  

Webmaster:

• The dealer has since added the events on their site

LOH:

• 9/6 – Tie-Dye event at Bonnie’s house ($20 per shirt, if you bring a shirt the cost will be $15).  Don will lead a lunch ride for the guys. 
• Ooka – possibly in October.
