IVHOG Chapter Meeting Notes – Jan-2026

Director:

  • Thank you, Joanne Bergey, for your service as secretary this past year and for filling in for membership today!!
  • New member, Mike, introduced himself and his ride.
  • This is the first year in a very long time our New Year’s Day ride was canceled due to inclement weather.
  • Interclub calendar will be out probably the 3rd week of Jan. At the next, meeting Pete will know more about upcoming events.
  • Thank you to those who attended Freedom Valley’s Customer Appreciation Night on Dec. 13th. 
  • No word on Tommy Giles attending a meeting.
  • The pool tournament will be March 14th. Registration starts at 9:30, and the tournament starts at 10:00. It’s open to the public.
  • LG, president of the Committed RC’s, benefit breakfast in his honor – January 17th, Red Hill Fire Company, 8:00-11:00. He was an organ donor. Three different people were blessed for a life by receiving his organs. 
  • Please, keep Russ Smith and his family in your prayers. His brother-in-law passed away on New Year’s Eve. 
  • Chili Cookoff Feb. 7th at Freedom Valley – 11:00. Dave Webb has the Woody trophy. Pete is trying to get the winners of other dealers to have a contest as we did before, but it must be approved by Harley-Davidson headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 
  • Inventory is up at Freedom Valley – good time to buy.
  • A date TBD will be set for us to go together to the Grand Opening of Hannum’s West. It will be on Meet-Up

Assistant Director: 

  • Hannum’s Media is now Hannum’s West
  • Join A.B.A.T.E or re-up if needed. Important organization for MC riders’ rights. 3rd Sunday of every month meetings at the Blue Comets clubhouse @ 11:00.

Treasurer:

  • Ending balance of $ 2868.76   A separate report is available.
  • A new treasurer will be needed for next year.

Secretary:

  • Thank you to all who bought my books this past month. The money raised went to the Honor and Courage Foundation Adopt-A-Family holiday program and So Much To Give Cafe in Skippack, which employs young adults with mental challenges. Greatly appreciated, Judy Macy.

Head Road Captain:

  • If you are signed up for a ride and cannot make it, let the road captain know via Meet-Up or text.
  • If the road captain cancels a ride, respond to the notice on Meet-Up or text so he knows you saw it. 

Safety Officer:

  • Beware of major potholes.
  • Any input is welcomed. Let Dave know if there’s something you want him to research for safety. Team effort
  • Don’t ride angry. Enjoy the scenery.
  • Pete commented on the safety of our group rides and attributed it to Dan, our road captains, and Dave’s guidance.

Merchandise:

  • Will be gettinmg more Interclub patches
  • Stocked up on long sleeve shirts and sweatshirts

Webmaster:

  • Meet-Up was changed as per members’ vote last month. People now must answer some questions and have permission to be admitted to our group. So far, it’s helped.

Ladies of Harley:

  • Ladies may bring a dessert to the Chili Cook Off on Feb. 7th
  • Next LOH meeting in March- date TBD
  • Ax throwing date TBD
