Chapter Meeting

Assistant Director:

Leading the meeting in the Director’s absence.

Asked for a moment of silence in remembrance of Doc (former Director).  The club will donate $100 in Doc’s name to the Biker Down Fund.  

Thanked everyone who attended the Memorial Day Service at Whitemarsh Cemetery – 31 bikes and a couple new members.  Thanked Judy and George as well.

John Youells thanked everyone who attended his mother’s service.

Father Fred has stopped by for a visit to see what our meetings are all about. Let him know if you would like your bike blessed after the meeting.

Interclub meeting last Wednesday night.  Upcoming events:

• 6/28 – Messengers Pancake Breakfast
• 6/29 – Interclub Party (IV Hog is in charge of raffle baskets – need to provide one and will help with parking).  
• 6/2 – Abate Annual Ride to Harrisburg
• 6/8 – Blue Comets Gold Star Family Picnic– have tickets available to purchase
• 7/8 – Escorting Vietnam Rolling Wall – please sign up if you are going to attend as we need to provide a list to Russ for set up purposes.
• Date TBD – Bacca Montgomery County Annual Christmas in July 
• Bacca Bucks County – Bike Nights last Friday of every month at Tranquility Brewing
• 8/15 – Blue Comets Cruising Car Show

Head Road Captain

• Thanked everyone who attended the Memorial Day Ride and service at Whitemarsh Cemetery.
• Leading a ride after the meeting – will vote on where to go due to weather.
• Will lead a ride to Gold Star Family’s Picnic – Don will post on Meet Up

Safety Officer:

• Discussed red light cameras.
• New law effective June 5^th bans the use of handheld devices while driving in PA.
• Group riding – reminder to show up with a full tank and empty bladder, stay in same position throughout the entire ride, don’t point out hazards if it effects your riding.  We ride staggered – stay in your lane until someone waves you up, don’t cross over.
• Check air pressure and lug nuts.

Photographer:

• Will be on vacation most of July – if anyone take photos during the month, back them up on Google Photos or create a Google Drive – then send link to drive to me to post when I return.

Membership:

• 128 members (127 +1 rejoining today)
• Reminder if you buy a new bike to let us know – free one-year club membership.

Webmaster:

• Pistol Shoot is next Saturday.  18 people have signed up (still 2 open spots to fill).  If you are attending, please reread and follow the rules.
• No one from the club won the pig raffle.

LOH:

• 9/6 – Tie-Dye event at Bonnie’s house ($20 per shirt, if you bring a shirt the cost will be $15).  Don will lead a lunch ride for the guys. 

Merchandise:

• A lot of t-shirts.  We are able to get other colors and can get shirts, sweatshirts, etc. with emblem for tie-dye event.

Treasurer

• Separate report on available funds; income and use.
• There is a card for Doc’s wife up at the table, please come up to sign.  Will be sending to Doc’ wife.
