Funeral Service: Carl Saldutti, Jr
I was advised today that Carl Saldutti, Jr passed away on Saturday the 20th. You may not know who Carl is, but, he was the Director of the Lansdale Parks and Recreation Department. Carl was very instrumental in getting Lansdale Bike Night started way back when, and has always been in the forefront of getting things moving each year for this event. Carl was also an avid Harley owner.
The Blue Comets will be getting together on Saturday to attend his viewing in Lansdale.
I will be leading a group, of whomever wishes to attend, from Hannum's to Wawa on Forty Foot Rd to meet up with the Comets and ride with them to the viewing.
If you wish to attend, please meet with me at Hannum's on Saturday, October 27th, we will be leaving by 12:30 PM. Continue reading
Nominations for 2019 Officers
Nominations are open for the month of October for the 2019 Officers. Click on the "Elections" tab at the top, right hand side of the website. For Primary Officer positions, eligible candidates must have attended at least 8 chapter meeting, other officer positions, eligible candidates must have attended at least 3 chapter meetings. To vote, you must have attended at least 3 chapter meetings. All eligible nominees will be contacted in October, and those that accepted the nomination will be introduced at the November chapter meeting to share with other members their platform for the position they want to fill. The 14th Annual Fallen officer Memorial Ride will be held Sunday, September 16th 2016 Rain or Shine. It will be at the Masonic Charity Lodge 190 F&AM, 465 Burnside Avenue, Norristown, PA 19403.
Registration from 8:30 am to 10:30 am
$25.00 a Rider
$20.00 a Passenger
Kickstands up at 10:45 am for a police escorted ride through scenic Montgomery County. Lunch Catered at the Masonic Charity Lodge, by Mission BBQ. Portion of this year's proceeds will benefit our nation's veterans through the Wounded Warrior Project. Continue reading
Sad news to report
Today, on the ride after the meeting, Cheryl Berry went down going around a turn. It is not life threatening injuries. She is in Reading Hospital. ***UPDATE on her condition - she underwent surgery 8/5/18. She has a titanium rod in her left leg and plates in her ankle. They cleaned out the laceration area and stitched it, putting a drain in place, and is being monitored closely for infection. She should be in the hospital for about 3 days, and no pressure on her leg for 6 weeks. Continue reading

It is with much sorrow that I have to share with you Ashlee Ann Brownstein passed away on Monday June 25 2018. Services will be held at Holcombe-Fischer Funeral Home in Flemington NJ Thursday June 28th at 7pm. Our thoughts and prayers are with Travis and the family of Ashlee Ann Brownstein.

Our Brother “Flat Top”
It is with much sorrow that I advise you that Flat Top's son Derek passed away suddenly on Monday, June 25th. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob(aka Flat Top) at his time of sorrow. Arrangements are as follows
Sunday, July 1st, Normandy Farms, 1401 Morris Rd, Blue Bell, PA. 10:30 AM until 2:30 PM, a celebration of Derek's life.
I need to let Bob know no later than Thursday an approximate number of people to expect from IV HOG, as they are having food at the facility.
In order to be respectful to the family, and not to interrupt anything that may be going on, I am planning on making sure that our Chapter meeting goes no later than 10:00 AM so that those of us attending can arrive there on time. I will lead the ride from the Moose to Normandy Farms. Continue reading

2018 RIDE FOR THE HEROES: IMPORTANT
Please be advised that due to pending adverse weather conditions, the decision has been made to postpone the RFTH until June 10th. Unfortunately, I was unable to secure the Moose to have a regular monthly meeting for this week either. I know that this postponement creates a conflict for some of us with Gold Star Mothers and the Hillclimb also being on the 10th, but everyone will have to decide which to attend. Continue reading
Thank You IVHOG
I would like to thank all of the members of IV HOG that took time out of their busy weekend schedules to join in on some very meaningful events. Saturday we went out in full force to Fort Indiantown Gap Memorial Cemetery for an event honoring veterans. Although I did not do a full count, I would guess that we were about 50 bikes strong that day !!! At the Cabela's staging location, the Prez of another club asked me how I got so many members out that day. Continue reading
