Urgent need for volunteers
I was just advised that due to some miscommunication, Freedom Valley has another Grill and Chill scheduled for this coming Saturday, June 4th and they do not have a food truck for the event. I desperately need help this Saturday, if you can even give just an hour or two. The good news is that the band is a good one, Little Red Rooster !! Please let Pete know ASAP if you are able to help out. Phone 267-446-1326 or e-mail at pfrentzen72@gmail.com.This should be the last one of the season for us. Thank you, Pete Continue reading

Gary Ryan
Most recent information that I have on Gary. A lot of people have been asking about visiting, a HOG ride to see him, etc. I have been working almost daily through his daughter and as of last night, they are keeping visitation to only family. She asked Gary about us visiting the other day and he would prefer we not see him when he is not at his best. More to come on that as I correspond with her. As for a benefit for Gary, I am still working on that but have run into a few roadblocks as it pertains to venues and bands. Some of the venues have a price that is so high that we would have to charge a fortune for entrance in order to make any money to help Gary out. Blue Comets have graciously offered their facility at no charge, which is great and I am most thankful for that. Just working out available dates with them and then onto food costs, band, etc. I will definitely need a committee to work on this with me, so if you are interested please let me know as soon as you can. UPDATE ON GARY RYAN
First off, I want to thank all of you who donated so generously this past Sunday to help Gary and his family. As you can well imagine, this unfortunate event is life altering and will require a lifetime of care.
On a bit of a brighter note, Gary is being released from the hospital in Billings, Montana, today, Wednesday September 15th and being flown to Philadelphia. He will be transported from the airport to Magee Rehabilitation facility. As much as I would have loved to put together an escort from the airport to Magee, Gary’s daughter thought it was not such a good idea at this time, so we will honor her wishes. Magee will allow only 1 visitor at a time and has rather strict rules pertaining to that. Late Sunday I got word from Tommy Hannum that the dealership will also be making a donation to the fund ! Please continue to keep Gary and his family in your prayers. As I receive more information I will make sure to spread the word. Thank you, Pete Continue reading
Grateful, Overwhelmed & Thankful
Dear IV HOG Friends,
A big and heartful thank you to our IV HOG Family. We were overwhelmed with the amount of cards, phone calls, visits and especially the generosity you’ve shown us.
It’s hard to explain the feelings that you get from such an outpouring of concern that was shown to us. It’s amazing how many times some of you have sincerely said “If there’s anything I can do for you, please call me”.
We’ve been on the giving end of support for “a biker down” but this is our first time on the receiving end.
But, if we’re not on the receiving end again, we won’t be disappointed!
Thanks IV HOG for all of your support.

Member Accident
A few weeks ago, Gary and Gail McGinty were injured in a cycle accident. Gary had surgery on his shoulder last week and Gail is also experiencing some issues as a result of the accident. I did not bring this up at the meeting as I was not sure at the time if Gary and Gail wanted it to be common knowledge, but having spoken with him a couple of times I got the approval to share this information. Gary says he is healing well and Gail still has to go for a few more medical tests. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and reach out to them when you get the opportunity. Continue reading
Update: Ride for the Heroes
I have just been informed that the decision has been made to postpone the RFTH this year due to dates and other issues. Look for a "save the date" to be coming out in the near future. Tentatively looking to hold it about the same time as it has been held each year. More to come. Continue reading
