Most recent information that I have on Gary. A lot of people have been asking about visiting, a HOG ride to see him, etc. I have been working almost daily through his daughter and as of last night, they are keeping visitation to only family. She asked Gary about us visiting the other day and he would prefer we not see him when he is not at his best. More to come on that as I correspond with her. As for a benefit for Gary, I am still working on that but have run into a few roadblocks as it pertains to venues and bands. Some of the venues have a price that is so high that we would have to charge a fortune for entrance in order to make any money to help Gary out. Blue Comets have graciously offered their facility at no charge, which is great and I am most thankful for that. Just working out available dates with them and then onto food costs, band, etc. I will definitely need a committee to work on this with me, so if you are interested please let me know as soon as you can. Dear IV HOG Friends,
A big and heartful thank you to our IV HOG Family. We were overwhelmed with the amount of cards, phone calls, visits and especially the generosity you’ve shown us.
It’s hard to explain the feelings that you get from such an outpouring of concern that was shown to us. It’s amazing how many times some of you have sincerely said “If there’s anything I can do for you, please call me”.
We’ve been on the giving end of support for “a biker down” but this is our first time on the receiving end.
But, if we’re not on the receiving end again, we won’t be disappointed!
Thanks IV HOG for all of your support.

A few weeks ago, Gary and Gail McGinty were injured in a cycle accident. Gary had surgery on his shoulder last week and Gail is also experiencing some issues as a result of the accident. I did not bring this up at the meeting as I was not sure at the time if Gary and Gail wanted it to be common knowledge, but having spoken with him a couple of times I got the approval to share this information. Gary says he is healing well and Gail still has to go for a few more medical tests. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and reach out to them when you get the opportunity. Continue reading
