Chapter Meeting

Director:

Update on Russ.

Brandywine HD closed yesterday.  Will be combining with Media in new building opening early 2026.

Reminder that elections are coming up next month.  One officer (Joanne) is stepping down, and Judy has been nominated for that position and has accepted the nomination.  Really need people to start stepping up.

Last Sunday was the Blue Comets Crazy Coffin run – had a great time.  IV Hog had the most members of anyone there.

Interclub Toy Run – not many bikes.

10/18 – Horsham Toy Run – a few members attended.  Good turnout – over 100 bikes.

11/15 – 5^th Annual Santa Run Toy Drive to benefit Grandview Hospital Pediatrics.

Chili Cook Off – do not have a date yet.  In the past, the other dealerships had a chili cookoff as well and they all the winners did a cook off against each other.  Will speak to Brian about this.  

Assistant Director:

• Members should think about joining ABATE. 
• Ask members to raise their hands if they are interested in having a pool tournament at Freedom Valley as was done in the past.  Keep to just members or open to public?  Pete reached out to Ronnie, and he has agreed to run it.
• ABATE is having a charitable clothing drive – coats, jackets, zip-ups or pull-over sweatshirts.  Bonnie mentioned bringing them to Ooka dinner and giving to Andrew then.
• Tuesday is election day – important to vote.
• New bills – H1809 – Helmet law and HB646 – Headphone law.  Call or email your representative.

Treasurer:

• Separate report on available funds; income and use.

Head Road Captain:

• 11/22 – Annual Mardi Gras parade – 4^th of July theme – outfit on Amazon that all the men are going to wear
• Will be posting New Year’s Day ride soon.

Safety Officer:

• He feels it is a good idea to practice dropping of bikes once there is a change of direction during a ride and some riders get separated.  
• Extra caution at four-way intersection.  Don’t assume that another driver nods their head that they actually see you and let you go.  Best, if possible, if everyone waits until all is clear. 

Membership:

• 157 members (148 listed on national HOG site)
• Renewal season is starting.  Don’t let your national membership lapse – will be following the rules more tightly next year. If your membership lapses, you will need to sign a waiver to go on the rides.

Merchandise:

• Stocked up on sweatshirts (hooded and non-hooded) and long sleeve shirts.

Webmaster:

• Nominations are still open.  There were no other nominations on the site at this time.  Want to nominate anyone – need to get it in this month. Nominations tab on main page.  
• Phil – By laws state that you must be present for 8 meetings to run for a primary officer position and 3 meetings for sub officer position.  

LOH:

• 10/12 – LOH meeting at Bankers at 12:00 PM – canceled
• 11/15 – Ooka at 3:00 PM
• Get back together in January LOH – axe throwing and bowling in February and March, tie-dye in June, another Pizza Como dinner, looking for bingo again and then maybe a game night.
